As an organization focused on learning, we are regularly exploring methods and approaches to improve access to education, and this includes finding ways to ensure everyone can attend our events. We plan and design our functions to be accessible by attendees with mobility-improvement devices so they can provide their input and perspective in our workshops, discussions, and activities. We research, test, and promote technological solutions that allow content to be accessed in a variety of ways, and we take a people-first approach in our language, recognizing that we are all individuals, and our abilities or disabilities do not define who we are.
Some requests, such as the need for an ASL interpreter, need to be submitted by April 10, 2020 to allow us time to fulfill the request. We cannot guarantee fulfilling requests received after April 10, 2020.

Universal Accessibility
This year, the Festival of Learning program committee is pleased to partner with the Disability Resource Network of B.C. for Post-secondary Education to provide a safe and compassionate space that is universally accessible. We welcome presenters and participants of all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, abilities, cultures, sexual orientations, genders, languages, ages, and religions, as well as those identifying as neurodivergent.
Venue Guest Room Accessibility
The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront, the official hotel for Festival of Learning, offers 12 accessible rooms:
- 4 are fully accessible (with roll in showers)
- 8 are a mixture of lowered bathtubs and elevated showers
